The JET Programme and other awesome things
Today seemed like the perfect day to revive my blog, because today my life felt exciting, despite my having spent most of it at work, and that's never happened before. First I received a job offer from the English conversation school in Japan where I applied as a backup to the JET Programme. Then I received a notice from the JET Programme that they shortlisted me too. For a moment, I panicked because JET specified that I would lose my place if I didn't get a physical soon and my new Assurance maladie card was weeks late to arrive and then "What's that letter for me on the table?": The Régie d'assurance maladie had finally gotten my card to me at the last moment as if they too wanted to get in on the excitement. AND THEN, I ate a ripe avocado that for once I hadn't forgotten about rediscovered when it was too late.
None of these things has ever happened before.
But more importantly, I am moving to Japan.
